Supreme Court bars inviting irrelevant persons to judiciary programmes

The Supreme Court on Sunday asked lower courts not to invite any politician, businessman and irrelevant person to any programme of the judiciary, UNB reports.

The Apex court also directed the trial courts for not arranging any programme during the working hours, said a circular issued today.

According to the circular, the invitation of people of different classes and professions, including politicians, businessmen and those not related to any programme of a subordinate court, is not expected.

It is being noticed that people from outside the judiciary are invited to different programmes of the lower courts, including inaugurating the Chief Judicial Magistrate buildings, it said.

The apex court also ordered the lower courts not to allow such persons in the podium and give them the opportunity to deliver speech if they are present in any programme.
