Shibir activist held in C’nawabganj

 

Police arrested an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir from Shibtala area in the district town on Tuesday night in a cases filed for carrying out destructive activities during the parliamentary elections on January 5, 2014, reports UNB.

 

The arrestee was identified as Mohammad Abdullah, 38, son of Mohammad Shahjahan, a resident of the area.

 

Majharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station, said tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Abdullah at about 8.00pm.

 

The arrestee was wanted in 14 cases filed for carrying out destructive activities and attacking police during and after the January 5 national elections.
