The prices of the most of shares on both DSE and CSE saw upward trend in early hour of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading session of the week.
After more one hour of trading, DSEX advanced 59.02 points while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse CSCX rose 99.85 points.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 59.02 points or 1.11 per cent to reach at 5336.42 at 12:03pm.
The two other indices saw positive trend till then. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) gained 6.69 points or 0.53 per cent to stand at 1247.11points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips advanced 10.50 points or 0.55 percent to reach at 1905.17 points.
Trade deals stood at 110607 with volume of transactions at Tk 7767.84 million, riding on BEXIMCO and AMANFEED.
Of the issues traded till then, 205 advanced, 56 declined and 46 issues remained unchanged.
BEXIMCO dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 395.55 million changing hands till then, closely followed AMANFEED, DESCO, NBL and IFIC.
The port city bourse the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend till then with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gaining 99.85 points to stand at 9933.73 points, also at 12:03pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 145 gained, 59 declined and 14 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 371 million, reports UNB.
