Two people, including a schoolteacher, were crushed under trains in separate incidents in Singra and Naldanga upazilas of Natore district on Thursday.
One of the deceased was identified as Gopal Chandra Saha, an assistant teacher of Damdama Girls' School while another’s identity has not been confirmed yet, UNB reports.
Jamshed Ali, Natore Railway Station Master, said Gopal Chandra was killed when he was hit by the Rajshahi-bound 'Uttara Express' from Chilahati at Natore Railway Station in Singra upazila around 10 am on Thursday.
The victim was reportedly talking over mobile phone near the rail track.
In another incident, an unidentified man was crushed under the wheels of a train near Madhnagar Mahishmari Bridge in Naldanga upazila in the morning, said Jamshed.
Railway police recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital morgue.
