Chittagong city mayor AJM Nasir Uddin on Saturday said that Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) is working relentlessly to create skilled manpower to cope with global competition in the fields of information and communication technology, reports BSS.
The mayor came with the remarks while addressing at the 12th founding anniversary of CCC Computer Institute (CCCCI) at city's GEC Convention Centre this afternoon.
He said, "The CCC is one of the leading contributors to implement present government's vision to build Digital Bangladesh".
Addressing at the function as the chief guest, the mayor said since assumption of his office a total of 124 poor and meritorious students has been imparted training free of cost from the institute.
He said the CCCCI has so far imparted training to 12,000 students, 540 union parishad secretaries, 900 members of Chittagong Metropolitan Police and 120 school and college teachers since its inception in 2004.
