Higher education in foreign universities stressed

Educationists at a workshop in Rajshahi on Saturday urged the post-graduation students to search and avail the scopes of higher education in foreign universities for their capacity building to face the existing challenges of 21st century. 

In the present era of globalization, students of the country's higher seats of learning should acquire global knowledge to compete in the international job markets. So, education in foreign universities could be the effective means in this regard.

Rajshahi University (RU) organized the workshop titled "Higher Education Opportunities in Foreign Universities" at its Senate Building. More than 200 post-graduation students (Thesis group) from various departments joined the workshop. 

RU Vice-chancellor Prof Md Mijanuddin and Pro-VC Prof Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan addressed the opening session as the chief and special guests respectively with Prof Shibly Sadique, Dean of Business Studies Faculty, in the chair. 

Prof Khaled Hossain, Prof Khademul Islam Mollah, Prof Abu Reja, Prof Monjurul Alam, Prof Ariful Haque and Prof Abdul Alim also spoke highlighting the aspects of higher education in foreign universities. 

Prof Mijanuddin urged the participating students to attain knowledge and skill on how to contact with the foreign universities to get into admission to those. He hoped that the workshop will help them to overcome the existing problems in this field.
