Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to be given grand honour, says Indian High Commissioner

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Monday said his country (India) will give Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina a grand honour by accommodating her in Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official home of the President of India.

 

The High Commissioner said honour is the most important matter in bilateral relations.

 

The Indian envoy made the remark at a view exchange meeting at the conference room of EWMGL Media Complex in Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital in the afternoon about the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to India.

 

He also mentioned that the media of East-West Media Group Ltd (EWMGL) are providing true and impartial news.

 

The High Commissioner expressed his pleasure about the role of six media of EWMGL in developing the bilateral relations between the two countries.

 

Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan was also present at the event.

 

The event was also attended by daily sun Acting Editor Shiabur Rahman, Kaler Kantha Editor Imdadul Haque Milon, Bangladesh Pratidin Editor Naem Nizam, Banglanews24.com’s Editor-in-chief Alamgir Hossain, Executive Director, Radio Capital, Mehdi Malek Sajib and journalists from all media houses and high officials of Indian High Commission.

 

Earlier, Bashundhara Group Chairman and other senior journalists welcomed Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
