A Dhaka court on Sunday acquitted Tahmid Hasib Khan, one of the survivors of the terrorist attack in Gulshan Holey Artisan Bakery on July 1 last year.
Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Mahmudul Hasan passed the order as the charge brought against Tahmid was not proved.
On October 2 last year, Tahmid, was released on bail. The court also framed charges against Tahmid for hiding information.
On August 3, police arrested a Canadian University student Tahmid and former North South university teacher Hasnat Karim.
A total of 20 hostages, including nine Italian, seven Japanese, two Bangladeshis, one Indian and one Bangladesh-born US citizen -- and two police officers, were killed on July 1.
During the attack, Tahmid was at the restaurant with two friends.
