A total of 38 projects are being implemented under different organizations of the ministry of shipping in the financial year 2016-17.
Of the projects, twenty-six are being implemented under the Revised Annual Development Programme (RADP) and the rest 12 from its own finance. A total of Taka 1815.3 crore were allocated for implementing the projects, reports BSS.
In the last year (2015-16), twenty-nine projects were implemented at a cost of Taka 1125.39 crore.
This was informed at a meeting on progress of ADP implementation held at Shipping Ministry conference room with Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan in the chair.
Shipping secretary Ashok Madob Roy and chiefs of different organizations under the ministry were present at the meeting.
The shipping minister asked authorities concerned to complete the projects within the stipulated time by maintaining quality.
