The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed downward trend in early hour of trading on Tuesday, the third trading session of the week.
After one and half hour of trading, DSEX declined 13.21 points while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse CSCX lost 13.48 points.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 13.21 points or 0.23 percent to reach at 5582.90 at 11:54am.
The two other indices saw negative trend till then. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost 2.11 points or 0.16 per cent to stand at 1284.90 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips declined 7.41 points or 0.35 percent to reach at 2058.60 points.
Turnover, the crucial indicator of the market, stands at Tk 2305.92 million on the DSE, riding on LANKABAFIN and BDCOM.
Of the issues traded till then, 101 advanced, 143 declined and 51 issues remained unchanged.
LANKABAFIN dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 333.33 million changing hands till then, closely followed by BDCOM, CITYBANK, SPCL and REGENTTEX.
The port city bourse the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw negative trend till then with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – losing 13.48 points to stand at 10497.08 points, also at 11:49 am.
Of the issues traded till then, 55 gained, 81 declined and 35 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 132.51 million.
