Eminent folk singer of Bangladesh Kiran Chandra Roy, will appear on Music Club, a phono-live studio concert of Bangla Vision, tonight.
The show, which will be aired at 11:25pm on the channel, will reveal some told and untold stories of the celebrated singer. Kiran Chandra will be seen talking about his music career, experiences, personal life and more during the programme.
Produced by Nahid Ahmed Biplob, the musical show will cover most of the popular songs of Kiran Chandra.
Viewers can talk to the Kiran Chandra by phone and send their requests through SMS live at the programme.
Kiran Chandra Roy is a Bangladeshi Baul folk singer.
He is also a lyricist and music composer. Roy took formal music lessons from Khandaker Nurul Alam for 14 years. He took part in first Bangladesh folklore workshop. He was a student of Bengali Literature at the University of Dhaka and Jagannath University.
As of 2005, Roy released 15 solo albums and rendered playback in over 20 films. Born in 1957 at Manikgonj, Kiran Chandra Roy is a versatile folk singer who specialises in Baul songs. He has received training in music from famous singer and music composer, Khondokar Nurul Alam.
A prolific singer, Kiran has recorded more than 30 solo albums. Many of these albums have set bestselling records. He is a regular performer on radio and TV and is also a playback singer.
Kiran has performed all around the world in countries such as India, China, Japan, Singapore, Qatar, Nepal, Korea (South & North), England, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, Sweden and Canada. He has also performed in numerous charity programmes all over the world.
