AFC Cup: Focus Back on Asia as Bengaluru FC Face Abahani Limited Dhaka

JSW Bengaluru lived up to the top billing as they maintained their position at the top of Group E in the 2017 AFC Cup on Tuesday last evening with a comfortable 2-0 win over Abahani Limited Dhaka, source BFF online.

The Indian 'outfit' proved too strong for the sky blues as the hosts took all three points from them in the Group E clash at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, India.

Nishu Kumar was in impressive form as he scored the opening goal five minutes before the break and substitute Marijan Jugovic finally ensured full points when his thunderous shot entered the net via the underside of the crossbar seven minutes from time, reports BSS.

The win saw Bengaluru's perfect start to the campaign, taking them on to nine points from their first three games while Abahani is at the bottom of the table yet to earn a point with three defeats.
