Japan has expressed its keenness to take skilled workers from Bangladesh for different sectors, including agriculture and construction, reports BSS.
The keenness was expressed when a seven-member Bangladesh delegation led by Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc called on Senior Vice President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Hidetoshi Irigaki at JICA headquarters in Japan on Wednesday.
During the meeting, they held discussions on different issues related to the mutual interests of the two friendly countries, said a press release on Thursday.
The JICA vice-president also gave an assurance of giving grant for setting up Japanese Language and Skill Training Center in Bangladesh. The center will be built at TIC in Chittagong, the release added.
