Minister Sayedul Haque boycotted by Brahmanbaria Awami League

Local Awami League leaders of Brahmanbaria have declared a day-long strike at Bijaynagar of the district on Sunday to prevent the arrival of Fisheries and Animal Resource Minister Sayedul Haque.

 

Upazila Parishad Chairman and General Secretary of upazila Awami League boycotted the minister's program, from a press briefing at the conference room of Bijaynagar upazila parishad on Thursday noon, UNB reports.

 

The district Awami League leaders have been at loggerheads with the minister over matters relating to the Union Parishad election.

 

Fisheries and Animal Resource Minister Sayedul Haque, who has already reached Brahmanbaria on a four-day visit, is scheduled to inaugurate the Animal Resource Office (ULDC) building at Bijaynagar next Sunday, April 23 at 10am local time.
