Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat will visit Dhaka again from April 27 to 30, reports the Times of India.
The second visit in a month would follow up on Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s trip to India from April 7 to 10 when both sides signed agreements to strengthen defense relations.
India offered a new $500 million line of credit to Bangladesh for defense purchase based on, what Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, Dhaka’s priorities and needs.
Citing sources, the ToI said Gen Rawat will discuss different steps to build military-to-military ties during his visit.
Earlier, he visited Dhaka from Mar 31 to Apr 2.
