Singapore to provide assistance to set up 60 starter labs in Bangladesh

Singapore will provide technical assistance to establish 60 starter labs in the polytechnic institutes of Bangladesh.

 

Under the assistance, Nanyang Polytechnic International, Singapore is now providing training to 1150 technical teachers which will be ended by 2019. Earlier, a total of 450 teachers were provided with the training in 2016, reports UNB.

 

Besides, the work on establishing 10 labs will be completed by January 2018.The 1st 10 starter labs include six micro controller labs and 4 digital electric labs.

 

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid held a meeting with the authorities of Nanyang Polytechnic International in Singapore on Friday on establishment of starter labs in Bangladesh, said an official release.

 

A delegation, led by the Education Minister, monitored the ongoing training activities of Bangladeshi teachers in Singapore.

 

The team is scheduled to return home on May 13.
