32 held in Satkhira

Police in separate drives arrested 32 people, including an activist of BNP, from different parts of the district, from Friday to Saturday morning, on various charges, reports UNB.

Mizanur Rahman, inspector of the Special Branch of Satkhira police, said of the arrestees, 11 people were held from Sadar upazila, five from Kolaroa, three from Tala, three from Kaliganj, five from Shyamnagar, two from Ashashuni, two from Debhata and one from Patkelghata upazilas of the district.

The arrestees are accused in different cases like acts of sabotage and drug abuse, the police official added.

They also recovered 69 pieces of Indian sarees.
