Godagari raid: Sumaiya on 10-day remand

Sumaiya, who surrendered from the militant raid at Rajshahi’s Godagari area, has put on 10-day remand for interrogation.

Senior magistrate of Rajshahi judge court Saiful Islam passed the order on Sunday.

Investigation officer in the case of operation ‘Sun Devil’ and also inspector of Godagari police station Altaf Hossain said Sumaiya was produced before Amoli court-3 around 11:30am and sought for 15 days remand. But the judge granted 10-day remand plea.

The law enforcing agencies cordoned off the militant den at Benipur village of the upazila on Wednesday and ended the operation on Friday.

In the operation, five militants and a fire fighter were killed.
