Drive at Porahati militant den resumes


Members of Rapid Action battalion (Rab) have resumed their operation for the second consecutive day at Porahati militant hideout at Chuadanga village  in Jhenidah district on Wednesday.


The law enforcers started their operation around 8:30am. They  postponed the operation on Tuesday evening due to low visibility.


Meanwhile, section 144 has been imposed in 200 kilometers from the spot.


Rab's legal and media wing director Mufti Mahmud Khan, operation director Lt Col Mahmud, Rab-6 commanding officer additional DIG Khandokar Rafikul Islam, Rab’s commander of Jhenidah Major Monir Ahmed are present in the spot.


Earliar on Tuesday, two suicide vest, five powerful bombs, 18 dynamite sticks, 186 bomb making circuit, and an anti mine were recovered from Chuadanga militant den.


Earliar, Rab arrested two Neo JMB men Selim and Pranto on Monday. According to their statements, the elite police are conducting the drive at Porahati militant den.
