Berger announces 8th BAEA competition

Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited (BPBL) on Wednesday announced the commencement of 8th Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture (BAEA) competition.

 

The announcement came through a ‘Meet the Press’ program arranged at Berger Seminar Room of IAB Center, Agargaon in the capital.

 

Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, Senior General Manager-Marketing & Sales, BPBL, AKM Sadeque Nawaj, General Manager– Marketing, BPBL, Architect Kazi Golam Nasir, President, IAB and Architect Shahnawaz Masud, Award Coordinator, BAEA spoke at the program.

 

Since 2003, Berger has been proactively recognising the talented architects of the country and awarding them for their accomplishments.

 

Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture has created the most prestigious national competitive platform where the unique and brilliant architectural projects are highlighted and rewarded.

 

In this bi-annual event, awards will be given in 5 different categories - Single Family Residence, Multi-Family Residence, Commercial or Mercantile, Industrial and Others.

 

In addition, there will be two more categories - Young Architect Award and Lifetime Achievement Award.

 

For the 8th Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture (BAEA) the jury board comprises of Architect Mustafa Ameen, Architect Dr. Khandaker Shabbir Ahmed, Architect Ehsan Khan, Professor Nisar Hossain– Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University.

A foreign eminent architect will also join as a juror.
