Shahida Pervin, a young mind of Bangladesh, has been selected as ‘young global changers’ and will attend G20 Think Tank Summit in Berlin, Germany this month.

Among 100 bright young minds from 100 different countries, Shahida was selected from Bangladesh to attend the summit slated on May 29-30.

The world’s leading think tanks will gather in Berlin to discuss global solutions to the most pressing issues facing our planet.

Shahida Pervin is an Economics graduate with Prime Minister Gold Medal and currently a Research Associate at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) in Bangladesh, said a press release.

Her major research contributions have been on macroeconomic issues, women empowerment, food safety, inclusive growth, LDC graduation through SDGs and labour market.

The Think 20 Summit Global Solutions, mandated by the German G20 Presidency, will bring young visionaries from around the globe to Berlin.

The scholarship programme aims at people with a passion for change and a background in social volunteering, academia, technology, start-ups journalism or blogging.

By offering these scholarships, the summit wants to involve the views and ideas of the next generation into global problem-solving. Scholarship recipients will take part in a number of high-level side events and become part of an exclusive network of like-minded professionals.

The scholarship programme is sponsored by several Enabling Partners: PwC; Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises; Berlin Partner; Google; Volkswagen, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, WeQ Foundation and Allianz Stiftungsforum.
