3 killed in Mymensingh road crashes



Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Valuka and Nandile upazilas of the district.


The deceased were identified as lorry driver Arif, 25, resident of Goforgaon upazila, Mahafuzur Rahman, 20, resident of Bandab village of Valuka upazila and an unidentified youth.


Fire service station official of Ishwarganj upazila, Rokonuzzaman said a bus plunged into roadside ditch at Amoilo area in Nandail upazila around 9am on Friday, leaving an unidentified youth dead on the spot and 10 others injured.


Earliar lorry driver Arif and his aide Mahafuz were killed in a road accident on Thursday night.


Officer-in-charge of Valuka police station Mamunur Rashid said the incident occurred at Baghra area on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway as a bus hit the lorry around 9:30pm on Thursday.


They were admitted to upazila health complex in Valuka where doctor declared them dead around 12:30am.
