Two killed, 25 injured in Faridpur road accident

Two people, including a nine-month-old boy, were killed and 25 others injured as a bus turned turtle on the Dhaka-Mawa Highway in Salildia area under Bhanga upazila of Faridpur district this noon.

 

The deceased are nine-month-old boy Al-Jabed, son of Mohon Sheikh of Patrail village, and Ishkander Faraji, 48, son of Rajes Faraji, a resident of Hajrahati village of the upazila.

 

Quoting Officer-in-Charge of Bhanga Police Station Sayed Abdullah BSS said the bus skidded off the road and turned turtle as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving two passengers dead on the spot and 25 others injured.

 

The injured were sent to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex and Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
