Lok Natyadal making drama on Bangabandhu's Unfinished Memoirs

Group theatre Lok Natyadal is making a historical drama titled "Asamapta Atmajiboni O Samapto Swadhinata" on life and works of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman which is expected to be staged in December, BSS reports.

Founder of Lok Natyadal and dramatist Liaquat Ali Lucky is directing the drama on two books of Bangabandhu "Asamapta Atmajiboni" and "Karagarer Rojnamcha".

Lucky, also director general of Shilpakala Academy, informed this while addressing a seminar marking the 36th anniversary of Lok Natyadal in the academy's seminar room.

He said the drama will be an epic creation of Natyadal on Bangabandhu.

"We are making the play through longtime research and plan," he said, adding rehearsal for the drama has already begun.

Lucky expressed his hope that the drama could be staged in the month of victory in December.

Indian dramatist and researcher Dr Ashish Goswami presented the keynote paper on the occasion while Lok Natyadal artiste Chakladar Mostafa Al Masud conducted the seminar.
