Rangpur Riders want Nasir as ‘Icon cricketer’

Rangpur Riders is all set to be one of the mighty team in the upcoming fifth edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 2017.

 

Alongside some foreign faces, the side have already confirmed Arafat Sunny and Rubel Hossain for the battle ahead. Now, they are looking forward to sign Nasir Hossain in the squad.

 

Rangpur Riders are aiming to get Nasir Hossain as the replacement of Soumya Sarkar who played last season as the icon cricketer of the side.

Ishtiaq Sadek, the chief executive of Rangpur Riders has informed.

 

If Nasir Hossain won’t be included in the icon list then what will do Rangpur Rider? In reply of this question, Ishtiaq Sadek further informed, “Our eye on Nasir Hossain and want to include him in the squad. We are ready to sign him at any cost.”

 

Under the new owner ‘Basundhara Group’, Rangpur Riders are currently busy to make a well- balanced squad for the upcoming mission.

 

The title-aspirant team has already confirmed the signings of five overseas cricketers- Samuel Badree, Johnson Charles, Thisara Perera and Ravi Bopara and Chris Gayle so far. They also appoint former Aussie cricketer, Tom Moody as their new head coach.
