Gas supply will remain suspended for 10 hours in the city's Mirpur and adjoining areas on Thursday from 10:00am to 8:00 pm.
According to a Titas Gas statement, the gas supply will be cut off to the east and west sides of Mirpur-10 to Agargaon Road, reports UNB.
The affected localities will include Manipur, Kazipara, Shewrapara, Pirerbag, Barobag, Agargaon, Senpara, Ibrahimpur, from Kachukhet to Vashantek, North Kafrul, Taltala, Kalayanpur, Shyamoli, Ahmmadnagar, Paikpara, Shialbari, Rupnagar, Arambag, Eastern Housing, Mirpur-1, 2, 6 and 7, Mirpur Cantonment and also adjacent areas due to pipeline shifting work caused by the Dhaka Metro Rail Construction Project.
Residents of Mirpur have grown accustomed to such day-long shutdowns, usually reserved for Thursdays, over the last one-and-half years. The pipeline replacement work has been necessitated by the start of construction as part of the Metro Rail Project.
