BCB chief Papon warns cricketer of dire consequences if they don't mend their way

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon has been enraged over multiple personal life scandals of some Bangladeshi cricketers.

Nazmul has said that if the cricketers don’t mend their ways, they will end up facing dire consequences.

He said, “I have said it from the beginning that being a good cricketer is not enough, you also have to be a good human being. We have tried very hard to keep the cricketers in control.

Many Bangladeshi international cricketers are getting involved in scandals that are putting Bangladesh cricket in an embarrassing position.

Previously cricketers like, Al-Amin Hossain, Rubel Hossain, Shahadat Hossain have been involved in scandals that have been much publicized not only in Bangladesh but also internationally.

Now fast bowler and a regular member of Bangladesh’s Test side Mohammad Shahid has joined the list.

Last Sunday his wife Farzana Akhtar came to the BCB and lodged a complaint to the BCB president against her husband. In her complaint she said that Shahid had abused her physically and has extra-marital affairs with other women.
