Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim on Saturday said BNP is hatching conspiracy to stop the polls as the party has no trust in countrymen, reports BSS.
"BNP is out to misguide people. But they will not be successful," he told the inaugural ceremony of three 10-seated "Ma o Shishu Kollyan Kendro", constructed by Health Engineering Department (HED), at Nischintapur High School under Kazipur upazila in the district.
Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) Director General Dr Kazi Mustafa Sarwar and DGFP Deputy Director Md Shaheen Hasan addressed the function, among others, with Additional Deputy Commissioner (revenue) Shamim Ahmed in the chair.
Nasim, also Awami League presidium member, said the next general election will be held under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in line with the constitution.
"BNP is hatching conspiracy at national and international level as they know they cannot defeat Awami League through election. The country will be in favaour of peace and development and foil all plots of ill forces," he added.
The minister urged the countrymen to pin their reliance on Awami League and partner the party to transform Bangladesh into developed one. "Whenever Awami League stays in power, the country witnesses unprecedented development.
On the other hand, BNP had embezzled money and properties when they were in power," he added.
