Oxfam ties up with local firm to support marginal farmers

Oxfam in Bangladesh signed Monday an MoU with CAPM Venture Capital and Finance Limited (CVCFL) to help rural based Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) expedite their loans and grants for marginalized farmers and women, reports BSS.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), both the organizations will work together to develop sustainable enterprises that create positive social and environmental impact resulting in generating economic and employment opportunities for marginalized farmers, women and youths. 

The MoU was signed by M B Akhter, Interim Country Director of Oxfam in Bangladesh, and Mustafizur Rahman, Managing Director, CVCFL at Oxfam's in Bangladesh office in the capital. Senior officials from both the organizations were present at the occasion.

Among others, Bajlur Rahman Bolon, a rural entrepreneur of a small duck hatchery from Gaibandha, was also present.
