Benapole land port will be kept open round the clock for seven days a week from today (Tuesday) in a bid to expedite trade activities with India, UNB reports.
The decision in this regard came into effect following an order of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina aiming to facilitate trade with the friendly neighbouring country.
On July 21 last year, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Integrated Check Post via video-conferencing.
Both the premiers also gave importance for constructing infrastructure of Benapole-Petrapole port.
