Leading Bangladeshi brand of electronics products Walton has sold out more than one lakh units of fridges on August 01, 2017 that led the local brand to set a record of selling highest number of fridges in a single day in the domestic market.
Earlier, Walton sold out maximum 50,000 units of fridges in a day, which was recorded on May this year. Now, the local brand recorded the sales of 1,04,469 units fridges on the first date of the current month.
Walton authorities claimed that customers’ faith on Walton fridges are increasing day by day due to some uniqueness such as application of advanced technologies, affordable rates, introduction of new models of products, assurance of world-class standard and best post sales services, which are resulted in recording highest number of refrigerators and freezers in a single day.
Sources said, Eid-ul-Azha, one of the two major festivals of Muslims, is marked as the peak season of fridge sales in the country as customers throng to electronics markets to buy refrigerators and freezers for preserving the meat of sacrificial animals. Walton had sold nearly 4 lakh pieces of refrigerators and freezers in the last Eid season and targeted to sell 5 lakh pieces this year (July-August), which is 27 percent higher than previous year.
To achieve the target, Walton took massive preparations and raised production at its own factory in Gazipur along with releasing new models of products in the market including extensive energy efficient Intelligent Inverter and Tempered Glass Door refrigerators.
Officials at Walton refrigerator marketing department said the new models of fridges have received huge response from customers in local market, which led to achieve the feat of selling more than one lakh refrigerators in a day. Terming it great news for Walton as well as local brands, they said that the record proves that the customers have trust and confidence to the homemade high standard products.
Eva Rezwana, Chief Coordinator of Walton Marketing Department, said that Walton has retained the top position in local market by manufacturing and marketing latest technology and design fridges of international standard at affordable prices. The trust and confidence of customers to the products of Walton brand are increasing day by day, which led to the achievement of selling more than one lakh pieces refrigerators in a day.
Terming the feat as a milestone for Walton in the local market, Amdadul Hoque Sarker, Executive Director of Walton Marketing Department, said the achievement would inspire Walton to innovate more technologies that are new and bring diversified models of products for customers. He hoped of getting higher sales of refrigerators surpassing the target in the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
