The prices of most of the share at the country's twin bourse - Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) - rose in the early hours of trading on Sunday, the first session of the week.
DSEX, the benchmark index of DSE, gained 5.01 points or 0.08 percent to reach 5,885.46 at 11:53 am.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 3.55 points or 0.16 percent to stand at 1,314.91.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, also rose 11.58 points or 0.54 percent to stand at 2,126.67 points.
Trade deals stood at 42,726 with volume of transactions at Tk 2,777.89 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 150 advanced, 104 declined and 65 remained unchanged.
Apollo Ispat was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 185.29 million changing hands till then followed by BBS Cables, IFAD Autos and Keya Cosmetics.
Of the issues traded till then, 119 advanced, 100 declined and 37 remained unchanged.
The port city bourse - CSE - also advanced in early hours of trading today.
CSCX, the key index of CSE, climbed 2.71 points to reach 11,015.46 also at 11:49 am.
Of the issues traded till then, 69 gained, 74 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
