Police have arrested three accused in the killing case of Swechchasebok League activist Firoz Ahmed from Arabpur Chanpara area in Sadar upazila of Jhenidah on Sunday night, UNB reports.
Two of the arrestees are Saiful and Shimul.
Earlier, Ansar Ali, father of the deceased, filed a murder case with the police station last night accusing eight people for killing Firoj, said Imdadul Haq, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
On Sunday afternoon, a group of miscreants intercepted the motorbike of Firoz Ahmed, 30, a member of district unit Swechchasebok League while he was going to the district town.
Later, the miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.
Firoz was taken to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
