This year's first Hajj flight from Sylhet carrying 418 pilgrims left Osmani International Airport at 5.30 pm on Monday for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, reports BSS.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines Board of Directors Chairman Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari inaugurated the flight.
Three more hajj flights will be operated for Jeddah from the Sylhet airport.
Meanwhile, Biman also operated its first ever hajj flight direct to Medina from Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport today.
Apart from Chittagong and Sylhet, the national flag carrier operated three more hajj flights to Jeddah form Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport today.
