Islamic University student missing since Wednesday

A student of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia has been missing for the last four days.

The victim was identified as Smrity Khatun, 25, a third year student of English Department and daughter of Anowar Hossain of Mokumpur village in Kushtia district.

Family members informed that Smrity went missing after coming to the campus for attending classes on Wednesday morning. But she never returned home that day, reports UNB.

Smrity’s father filed a general diary with Islamic University police station in this regard, according to IU police officer-in-charge Raton Sheikh.

IU proctor Professor M Mahbubar Rahman said that the university authorities informed the matter to the law-enforcement agencies after getting a written complaint from the family members.
