The fourth round Bangladesh Premier League match of Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd and Farashganj Sporting Club saw an absolute goalfest as Mohammedan dominated over Farashganj by 4-0 goals.
The lone match of the day was kicked off at 6:00 pm at Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital.
Mohammedan took the first lead over old Dhaka outfit Farashganj in the 19th minute of the match. Their midfielder Biplu Ahmed broke Farashganj’s defence easily.
Forward Md Tokhlis Ahmed showed an impressive dribbling and his shot found the nets through three defenders. Confident Mohammedan charged again and again and tripled their lead in the 28th minute of the match. Midfielder Anik Hossain saw a window of opportunity and didn’t miss to convert his chance to a score.
Their second goal came just after five minutes.
Mohammedan’s foreign recruit from Nigeria Kingsley Chigozie sealed Farashganj’s fate in the 60th minute of the match when he scored from a magnificent side-volley after falling down in the penalty area.
The match looked almost one-sided and Farashganj put their every effort to earn a consolation goal. But after the final whistle, they had to leave the ground with 4-0 in the scoreboard.
