The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed mixed trend in early trading on Thursday, the last session of the week.
After first two hours of trading, the key index of the country's major bourse fell 1.78 point up while the Selective Category Index of the port city bourse rose 6.43 point.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 1.78 points to 5,881.45 points at 12:35 pm.
But the DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 2.64 points or 0.12 percent to stand at 2,114.96 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also advanced 1.89 points or 0.14 percent to reach at 1,305.80 points.
Turnover stands at Tk 3934.57 million on the DSE at 12:35 pm, riding on BBS Cables and Salvo Chemical.
BBS Cables dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 288.37 million changing hands till then, followed by Salvo Chemical, IBN Sina, Uttara Bank and IFIC Bank.
Of the issues traded till then, 154 advanced, 121 declined and 45 issues remained unchanged.
However, the port city bourse, the CSE, saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX - advancing 6.43 point to stand at 11,049.37, also at 12:31 pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 103 gained, 70 declined and 33 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 180 million.
