Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu today expressed deep shock at the death of legendary actor Abdur Razzak.
On receipt of the information, the information minister rushed to the hospital and paid his last respect to the actor.
Talking to journalists at the hospital, the minister said that Razzak contributed tremendously to the rise of Bengali cinema and the audience flocked to the movie houses because of his charisma.
He described the death of Razzak as an irreparable loss to Bengali films.
The minister also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Besides, Information Secretary Mortuza Ahmed also condoled the death of "Nayak Raj Razzak".
Razzak, the matinee idol of Bengali cinema in the late '60s and '70s, died of cardiac arrest in the city's United Hospital this evening at the age of 75.
