Physicians at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) conducted operation on Muktamoni for the second time on Tuesday morning.
Doctors began the surgery at the operation theatre in the Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of the DMCH around 9:15am.
The first surgical operation on Muktamoni was carried out successfully at the DMCH without amputating her right hand on August 12.
Muktamoni, a 12-year-old girl of Kamarbaisa village in Satkhira sadar upazila, was admitted to the DMCH on July 11 with a malignant growth on her right arm.
After her admission to the DHCH, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken responsibility of the treatment of Muktamoni.
According to her father Ibrahim, a grocery shop owner of Kamarbaisa village in Sadar upazila, Muktamoni and her twin sister Hiramoni were a pair of healthy baby girls during their birth.
