BOGRA: A woman and her daughter were found dead at their residence in Bhandariapara area in sadar upazila on Tuesday afternoon, reports UNB.

Locals said Kapia Aktar, 33, wife of Golam Mostafa, a resident of Bhandariapara, used to live in a rented house with her daughter Ayesha Aktar, 5.

On Tuesday, neighbours found the door of Kapia closed from inside all the day.

As they didn’t found any response from inside after knocking repeated times, the nighbours entered the room breaking open the door only to see the body of Kapia and Ayesha lying on the bed.

Additional Supe-rintendent of Police Sanatan Chakrabarti said a group of miscreants might have strangulated Papia and her daughter.

However, the reason behind the murder could not be found.
