For the first time ever, the Tigers played in the semi-finals of ICC Champions Trophy in England in June this year. And on August 30, 2017, they wrote history by defeating the mighty Australians in their first Test of the two-match series.
After their recent performances, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan Papon confirmed the media on Wednesday that the Tigers and their coaching staffs will be rewarded with Taka 2 crore by BCB for their Test triumph against Kangaroos.
Besides, International Cricket Council (ICC) awarded Taka 4 crore to Mashrafe Mortaza-led ODI team which played in the Champions Trophy semis.
Papon assured that the players and coaching staffs of the Champions Trophy and the Test team will receive their bonus Taka 6 crore soon, possibly before Eid-ul-Azha.
