Trading at country's both bourses is underway with upward trend in early hours on Wednesday, as enthusiastic investors remain active.
After first one hour of trading, the key index of the country's major bourse advanced 23.85 points while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse gained 59.01 points.
DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 23.85 points or 0.38 per cent to stand at 6173.25, when the report was filed at 11:33am.
The two other indices also saw upward trend. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips advanced 6.44 points or 0.29 percent to stand at 2207.16 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose 3.52 points or 0.25 percent to stand at 1369.17.
Turnover, the crucial indicator of the market, stands at Tk 3623.93 million on the DSE, riding on LankaBangla Finance and Al-Arafah Islami Bank.
Of the issues traded till then, 162 advanced, 102 declined and 45 issues remained unchanged.
LankaBangla Finance dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 337.69 million changing hands, followed by Al-Arafah Islami Bank, First Security Bank, AB Bank, Premier Bank, Mercantile Bank and City Bank.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), also saw upward trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX-advancing 59.01 points to stand at 11571.06 points, also at 11:31am.
Of the issues traded till then, 80 gained, 50 declined and 33 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 176 million.
