Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd were hold by Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society in their eighth round match of Bangladesh Premier League at Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital on Wednesday.
Mohammedan are passing through a tough phase in the league as they have managed only two wins from the eight matches they played.
In yesterday’s match, Rahmatganj didn’t let Mohammedan to score any goals but they also failed to net a ball as the game ended in 0-0 scoreboard.
Mohammedan’s midfielder Anik Hossain was handed a red card and Rahmatganj’s midfielder Md Najim Uddin Mithu got a yellow card.
The ground was hampered by torrential rain as the second match of the day between Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra and Team BJMC was deferred by a day.
The last match of the round-8 between Sheikh Russel and BJMC will be played today at 6 pm at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
The ongoing 10th season of BPL will go through a break of almost 16 days (From September 15 to 30) due to participation of Bangladesh team in the SAFF Under-18 Championship, billed for September 18 to 27 in Bhutan. After a recess of that period, the 9th round of BPL will commence on October 1 or 2 at the same venue.
