Former Bangladeshi skipper Mohammad Ashraful was in Chittagong for playing in the 19th edition of National Cricket League (NCL).
In this season’s NCL, the first hundred came from Ashraful’s bat. He scored 104 for Dhaka Metropolis against Chittagong Division at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
But luck isn’t favoring him as he has returned to Dhaka on Monday in the middle of NCL due to dengue.
After his innings on Friday, he didn’t came to field on Saturday as he was feeling sick and had high fever. He spent the whole day in the dressing room. After a blood test on Sunday, the report suggests that Mohammad Ashraful is infected with dengue.
The match between Dhaka Metropolis & Chittagong Division is stopped due to rain at the moment. After Dhaka set a target of 384 runs, Chittagong are now at 193 with the loss of 4 wickets.
