Dhaka University Teachers' Association(DUTA) on Tuesday strongly protested the mass killing and atrocities on Rohingya people by the army-led Myanmar government in Rakhain State.
The DUTA leaders condemned the government of Aung San Suu Kyi, state counsellor of Myanmar, for committing atrocities on Rohinya Muslims, UNB reports.
They urged the United Nations to take urgent initiatives to stop such crimes for ensuring regional peace.
The teachers' leaders also demanded implementation of recommendations made by the Annan Commission.
They called upon the Myanmar government to act like a good neighbour by taking back their Rohingya citizens.
