Four people, including mother and her son, have been killed and eight others injured in a road accident at Malihata on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Officer-in-charge of Bishwaroad highway police camp Yunus Mia said the accident took place when the Dhaka-bound bus collided head-on with a truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction at about 6:30 am on Sunday, leaving one dead on the spot and eleven others injured.
The injured were taken to different local clinics and Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital where duty doctor declared one of them dead on arrival, UNB reports.

Truck driver and his helper managed to flee the scene soon after the incident.
