Mushfiqur’s ton helps Bangladesh to set 279-run target for South Africa

Mushfiqur Rahim`s fifth ODI century steered Bangladesh to set a 279-run target for South Africa in their first one day international (ODI) of the three-match series at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley on Sunday.

 

Mushfiqure scored 110 off 116 balls which helped Bangladesh to put 278 runs on the scoreboard losing seven wickets in 50 overs after the visitors chose to bat first wining the toss.

 

Imrul Kayes scored 31 runs off 43 balls. Shakib Al Hasan added 29 runs of 45 balls.

 

Two key players -- opener Tamim Iqbal and Mustafizur Rahman -- are not playing in the match.
