Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal No. Three.
The depression over the west central bay and adjoining area moved north-northwestwards over west-central bay and adjoining northwest bay and was centered at 6 pm on Thursday about 810 kms southwest of Chittagong port, 775 kms southwest of Cox’s Bazar port, 670 kms south/southwest of Mongla port And 675 kms south/southwest of Payra port.
It is likely to intensify and move in a north /north westerly direction further, said a special bulletin of Met office.
Sea will remain moderate near the depression centre.
All fishing boat and trawler over North Bay and deep sea have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution.
They are also advised not to venture into the deep sea.
