Ongoing moderate rainfall with gusty wind is likely to continue till Saturday.
Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country.
The Met Office recorded 50 mm of rainfall in Dhaka in the last 24 hours while it recorded two mm of rainfall from 6 am to 9 pm on Friday, said Mizanur Rahman, an assistant meteorologist at Bangladesh Meteorology Department.
Besides, the highest 64 mm of rainfall was recorded in Khepupara of Barisal district during the period, he said.
However, the rain may continue till Saturday and the weather is likely to improve on Sunday.
