Trading on the country's two bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- is underway with mixed trends of share-price indices on Sunday, the first session of the week.
After one hour of trading, the key index of the country's premier bourse, edge 1.60 points up while the Selective Category Index of the port city bourse lost 14.75 points.
The DSEX benchmark went up by 1.60 points or 0.02 percent to stand at 6,041.15 at 11:55 am.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 1.86 points or 0.14 percent to 1,331.29.
But the DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 1.55 points or 0.07 percent to stand at 2,186.73 points.
Trade deals stood at 34,401 with transaction at over Tk 1,729.86 million on the DSE, riding on LankaBangla Finance and Rangpur Foundry.
Of the issues traded till then, 92 advanced, 146 declined and 60 issues remained unchanged.
LankaBangla Finance Limited topped the turnover leaders with shares worth Tk 124.57 million changing hands till then, followed by Rangpur Foundry, Exim Bank, IFAD Autos and BD Finance.
However, the port city bourse CSE saw negative trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX - losing 21.51 points to stand at 11,308.23 points, also at 11:53 am.
Of the issues traded till then, 50 gained, 81 declined and 18 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 47.54 million.
